Back in November, Lil Wayne unveiled the third installment of his highly regarded No Ceilings mixtape series, which was hosted by DJ Khaled and saw the New Orleans legend freestyling over popular cuts of the year, including Lil Baby’s “We Paid,” Pop Smoke’s “For The Night,” and Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later.” He could also be heard over older favorites like JAY-Z’s “Takeover” and YNW Melly’s “Murder On My Mind.”

Today, he drops off a new visual for the track “2 Diamonds,” a flip of Young Thug’s 2019 single “Bad Bad Bad” that sees Weezy rapping and harmonizing about his significant other:

“Girl, you know I fuckin’ love you, so why you actin’ like it’s just you? Girl, you know we never rumble, but don’t make me get someone to jump you/

’Cause you be actin’, actin’ funny when your hair fixed, actin’ funny, I ain’t laughin’, get your pussy, not your ass kissed…/”

The visual sees Lil Wayne performing the track in different locations of a residence, all while a woman — or women — dance both seductively and ballet-style nearby. Simple, creative, and straight to the point, essentially.

In addition to No Ceilings 3, this year also saw Lil Wayne liberating his thirteenth studio album Funeral in January, which saw 24 tracks and additional features from O.T. Genasis, XXXTentacion, The-Dream, Takeoff, 2 Chainz, Jay Rock, Big Sean, and more. The project earned Wayne his fifth number one album on the Billboard 200 thanks to 139,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Months later, fans would get a deluxe version of Funeral that adds on eight additional cuts and new assists from Doja Cat, Tory Lanez, Lil Uzi Vert, Griselda’s Benny The Butcher and Conway The Machine, and Jessie Reyez.
