Just before the weekend kicked off, Lil Durk decided to treat his fans with a surprise release of his new single “Lion Eyes,” an AyeTM-backed effort that’s full of honest lyrics about Durk’s wins and losses:

“Did Rolling Loud inside a orange bubble Milano, first rapper from Chicago drinkin’ lean in Roscoe’s, if I fly you out to Atlanta, shake that ass and toss it up, I got my grill cleaned a couple days ago, they say I floss too much, I know how it feel to lose it all bеcause I lost too much, got in that room and told it all, I knew ’cause you talk too much…”

Courtesy of Jerry Production comes a matching visual that shows Durk in the comforts of his home, where he can be seen playing video games, counting money, engaging in a light work out, and more.

Back in March, Durk and his Only The Family collective liberated the 23-song compilation Loyal Bros, which saw additional contributions from Tee Grizzley, Lil Uzi Vert, BIG30, EST Gee, Foogiano, and the late King Von, among many others. Months later, the Chicago star would team up with ATL frontrunner Lil Baby for The Voice of the Heroes, an 18-song effort with collaborations alongside Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Young Thug, and Rod Wave — that project would quickly shoot to the top of the Billboard 200 thanks to 150,000, subsequently earning the dynamic duo a Gold certification. Durk’s last solo LP, The Voice, made landfall back in December. Hopefully, the release of “Lion Eyes” means that another full-length could be arriving just in time for the holidays.
