Beats by Dre has built its colossal legacy by revolutionizing the audio world, continuing to take the modern headphone and speaker game by storm with strategic partnerships, quality product line and an uncompromisable mission to bring back emotion to music.

For the billion-dollar brand’s next tactful move, the company has unveiled an exciting new announcement to kick off the rest of 2018: Beats by Dre is now the official headphone of the NBA.

To celebrate the high-profile partnership, a new advertisement, titled “NBA and Beats,” was shared on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 4), starring the likes of LeBron James, James Harden, Ben Simmons, Draymond Green and Karl-Anthony Towns. Additionally, LeBron can also be spotted in Nike’s latest commercial for their 30th anniversary “Just Do It Campaign.” You know, the one that has everyone talking.

The 30-second spot announcing the partnership between the NBA and Beats by Dre is also soundtracked by the Migos song “Is You Ready,” which was released as part of the soundtrack for the movie Mile 22. The action thriller stars Mark Wahlberg and debuted in theaters this past month.

To accompany the new commercial, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver issued a statement commenting on the partnership, adding, “Beats revolutionized the music industry and has become one of the most innovative and culturally influential brands in the world. Through our partnership, we have an exciting opportunity to merge sports, pop culture and technology to deliver unparalleled experiences and premium products to our fans.”

The advertisement arrives just less than a week after Eminem dropped his surprise album Kamikaze, which Beats co-founder Dr. Dre co-executive produced. The album has been met with considerably higher praise than Em’s 2017 Revival, with many placing bets to see if and when the rap veteran will respond to the lethal diss track by Machine Gun Kelly, which was released in response to the Dre-produced album.

All Eminem talk aside, Beats by Dre’s latest partnership with the NBA further speaks to the brand’s unparalleled ability to advance culture and tech forward, thriving in the sweet spot where music, sports and entertainment collide.
