Lil Durk and OTF release new ‘Loyal Bros’ compilation

Durkio and his OTF label connect for some new heat.

Any time Lil Durk and his OTF labelmates link up on wax, it’s always worth checking out. Durk’s ability to turn around music is probably one of his most impressive traits as a rapper. Smurk unleashes new music at a decent rapid rate for someone who’s only gotten better with time. About a month and a half ago, Durkio turned many heads when he announced that he wanted $200,000 for a show moving forward. While many people were 100% behind it, there were a lot of others that felt otherwise — but hey, opinions are like assholes, right? Around the time of The Voice’s recent deluxe release, the OTF leader took to Twitter with a stamped declaration: “I’m off the internet until my deluxe drop in a couple of days.....finna show y’all why I want 200k a show .”

Today, the young Chicago legend and his Only The Family imprint connect for their latest release, Loyal Bros.

Billed as the follow up to their 2019 release Family over Everything, Loyal Bros is set to feature new music from Durkio, posthumous verses from the late King Von and contributions from Booka600, Memo600, Timo, DoodieLo, and the rest of the OTF crew. The project really has some alternating, hard-hitting street anthems and emotional rap ballads as the Chicago-based collective continues to explore the type of kinship that has been forged by hardship.

He’s been known for quite some time now but within the last year, it’s inevitable that Lil Durk’s popularity has reached new heights with his recent success through the industry (with his major hit “Laugh Now Cry Later” with Drake and a number of other collabs). If you haven’t quite realized why he’s worth $200k a show prior to this release, you should be ashamed of yourself.
