Travis Scott continues to expand his exponentially growing empire. Today (August 2), it’s been announced that Scott’s Cactus Jack Films has struck a production deal with indie entertainment entity A24, a company that’s responsible for high quality movies like Moonlight, Uncut Gems, and Zola. Taking to social media, Scott also revealed that a film was already in the works, revealing the cover of a script with the title — presumed to be Utopia, which is also the tentative name of his forthcoming album — blacked out:

“Life is a movie. So is this album … [Cactus Jack] and [A24] set out to bring amazing content for the future . Thru film and media.”

Said partnership is only the latest in a series of non-music power moves made by the Houston star. Many of his fans are already patrons of Scott’s fashion drops alongside Nike and Dior — this past weekend alone saw the latest version of his Air Jordan 1 variation, which was created in conjunction with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment. Back in September, he then transitioned to food, connecting with McDonald’s to create a limited edition meal. Scott even dived into the video game world last year, throwing a virtual concert within Fortnite and joining Playstation as a Strategic Creative Partner for their PS5 launch. To say that he’s a man of many hats would be an understatement, to say the least.

Upon release, Utopia — the album, his fourth — will follow 2018’s Astroworld, Travis Scott’s fouth official LP that saw 17 tracks with a slew of appearances from The Weeknd, Kid Cudi, Frank Ocean, Drake, James Blake, 21 Savage, Swae Lee, Gunna, Nav, Quavo, Takeoff, Juice WRLD, and more. Astroworld proved to be a critical and commercial success, scoring Scott a number one on the Billboard 200 thanks to a whopping 537,000 first week album equivalent units, subsequently hitting the platinum mark three times over. The following year, he formally introduced us to Cactus Jack artists Sheck Wes, Don Toliver, Luxury Tax, and (Scott’s DJ) Chase B via his JackBoys compilation, which also topped the aforementioned chart.
