Today (Sept. 10), K-Trap liberates his latest body of work Trapo, a 16-track offering that sees additional assists from DoRoad, Youngs Teflon, Lotto Ash, and PR SAD. In addition, fans in the UK can also check out a new visual from said project for “Free C Roy,” a Handz Beatz-produced drill track that sees K-Trap rapping about his incarcerated friend, along with other street-related topics:

“Go with a whistle, ain’t gonna make no noise, shotgun’s stuffed, two boys, hammerin’ trizz when the pack’s destroyed, another times, pack is joy, and ten gotta stutter, boy, huh, you don’t dance with the uh-uh, woi, can’t wait till they free C Roy, hammer on me, just near my groin, I was at Steve’s, and he needed foil, cockin’ the button, you see the oil...”

Courtesy of Romael, the mostly black-and-white clip for “Free C Roy” keeps with the theme of K-Trap’s previous releases, with shots of the masked rapper in his element alongside his crew.

Trapo follows K-Trap official debut LP Street Side Effects, which was released last year. That album contained 16 tracks with additional features from Giggs, Abra Cadabra, Blade Brown, Fredo, M1llionz, D-Block Europe, and Wretch 32. Street Side Effects can also be considered a commercial success for K-Trap, as it landed within the top 30 of the UK Albums chart shortly following its release. Prior to that, K-Trap made waves with the well-received mixtapes The Last Whip, The Re-Up, and No Magic in 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively. In addition to his own work, K-Trap also contributed to songs like Blanco’s “Cerberus,” Wretch 32’s “All White/Interlude,” Ms Banks’ “Pull Up,” and LD’s “Fell In Love.”
