Another weekend brings another dope cut from Russ. His latest is the self-produced, pop-esque offering “Lake Como,” named after the Italian location of the same name — one of many places the Atlanta-based talent looks to travel to with his love interest:

“I wasted time, shoulda made you mine 6 months ago, say I don’t give a fuck but I said that 6 fucks ago, thank God I snapped out of it, I’m with you and I’m proud of it, I can’t believe this happened, you a special type of woman, you got me doin’ things that I ain’t ever done before, I take you places I ain’t ever took no one before, this 8 trips is deeper than that, this ain’t gives us deeper than that…”

This year alone has seen an album’s worth of tracks from Russ, including “Misunderstood,” “Bankrupt,” “Small Talk,” “Status,” “3:15 (Can’t Breathe),” “Private” with Rexx Life Raj, “Money On Me,” “Lucky,” “Rather Be Myself,” “Satisfy,” “On The Way,” “Nothin’ I Won’t Do,” and “Cheers.” In addition to his own releases, Russ can also be heard on relatively recent drops like Jackboy’s “Own My Masters” and Blxst’s “Fck Boys.”

Russ’ last full-length LP — SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE — was released early last year, and saw 14 tracks with additional appearances from Rick Ross, Kiana Ledé, Bugus, Benny The Butcher, Devin The Dude, and BIA. The project was a top five success on the Billboard 200 thanks to 63,000 first-week album equivalent units — fans of SHAKE THE SNOW GLOBE were also able to enjoy a deluxe upgrade with seven additional songs months later. Not content with that release alone, last November then saw the release of CHOMP, a five-track EP packed with contributions from Ab-Soul, DJ Premier, Busta Rhymes, Black Thought, and more.

Head to “Lake Como” with Russ.
