This past week, D Double E delivered his latest single “G’s Only,” which features past collaborator Chip and sees the two delivering rewind-worthy bars over production courtesy of Teddy Music:

“You can get smoked for the cause, this is grime, you wasn’t there, I wouldn’t play pussy paws, show respect, furthermore, hit my manager, then my lawyer like ‘What’s the racks? What’s the clause?’ Ay, ay, dickhead yute, you know badman chill out, I bill up and bun up all these nasty yutes, mad at me, yeah I know, but you’d have better flows if you grew up on Nasty Crew…”

“G’s Only” also sees an accompanying clip courtesy of Nicky “Slimting” walker and Femi Oyeniran, which sees D Double E, Chip, Teddy Music, and some crew members getting lifted and catching vibes in a warehouse setting. The video ends with footage of the legendary emcee receiving his well-deserved flowers from grime peer Novelist and a crowd of excited fans and supporters.

t’s been a little over a year since D Double E liberated his sophomore LP Double Or Nothing, which came with 12 songs and additional contributions from Giggs, Kano, Ms Banks, Skrapz, Ghetts, Triggz, and Jme. Since then, the grime legend has continued to provide show-stealing verses alongside many of his peers on songs like “Don” with Skepta, Jammer’s “Built This City,” “Variation” with Big Zuu, Rudimental’s “Instajets,” P Money’s “Stuttering,” and Scorcher’s “Jurgen.” Earlier this month, he also liberated a new single “Mafia Ting,” a dope cut that also acted as additional promotion for his Mafia Bike partnership.
