Big news for fans of Kojey Radical fans. Today (Nov. 24), the London talent has officially announced his debut LP Reason To Smile, which will contain songs and a wealth of contributions from Tiana Major9, Masego, Shaé Universe, Kelis, Knucks, Shakka, Wretch 32, and more. The project will also include the Lex Amor-assisted “War Outside,” which Kojey liberated back in September.
Earlier this month, Kojey added to the momentum with “Gangsta,” a Swindle and Kz-produced offering that sees him reflecting on his mother’s grind during his upbringing, particularly in regards to his father’s whereabouts and how it all affected him:
“I think my momma was a gangsta, I think my daddy was a rolling stone, I was looking for some answers, while forgetting there was rice at home, that’s every day, that’s every day with it, yeah, and every night that she would pray for me, yeah, tell the devil keep away from me, yeah, feed my soul and fix a plate for me, yeah…”
Upon it’s arrival, Reason To Smile will follow 2019’s Cashmere Tears, a 10-track body of work with a single assist from Amaarae. Since then, the East London artist continued to deliver some dope singles and features for his fans to enjoy, including “Snakes,” “Proud Of You,” “Same Boat” with Mereba, “500 Likes” with The HeavyTrackerz, Scorcher, and Lay-Z, “Good,” Swindle’s “BLOW YA TRUMPET,” and the two-for-one drop “2FS/Woohaa.”
