Tobe Nwigwe continues to make Sunday a weekly highlight with his visual releases. Yesterday, the Houston emcee revealed a new clip for “TUNDAH FIYAH,” which features the song’s producer LaNell “Nell” Grant and Baltimore-born, Philadelphia-based talent Mumu Fresh. The track sees the artists speaking on taking care of their families and navigating through success in the midst of various evils:

“Look, though I am not fixated on riches, please don’t get it twisted, I can get vicious about the paper, take even a tidbit or niblet out of my skillet, and I’ll provide you a ticket to visit your creator/

My little mini-mes can’t eat a favor, my sweat and toil ain’t for the love of labor, I live by the principle love your neighbor, but I keep some led to draw that put cylinder holes in tapers…/”

Directed by Nwigwe and Nate Edwards, the video keeps with many of the themes seen in previous visuals — uniform colors, choreographed dancing around the artists, and lyric subtitles for those in need. The unique qualities of Tobe Nwigwe’s visual drops have become as important as the music itself, making for an all-around one of a kind experience within an increasingly diluted artform.

“TUNDAH FIYAH” is taken from Tobe Nwigwe’s December release Cincoriginals, which saw 14 cuts and additional appearances from EARTHGANG, Big K.R.I.T., Royce da 5’9”, Black Thought, D Smoke, Lil’ Keke, Trae Tha Truth, Bun B, and more. In the same year, he also liberated The Pandemic Project in August. More recently, Nwigwe and his family celebrated a major financial milestone with the standalone track — and video for — “A Million.”

Press play on Tobe Nwigwe, Nell, and Mumu Fresh’s “TUNDAH FIYAH” video below. Fans can certainly expect plenty more Sunday blessings from these guys as we move further into 2021.
