Back in 2012, Glasses Malone blessed the world with the mixtape GlassHouse, a 12-track offering that saw additional assists from Joe Moses, Kid Ink, E-40, Problem, the late Shawty Lo, and more. Three years later, he would continue the series with his sophomore LP GlassHouse 2: Life Ain’t Nuthin But..., which contained 14 cuts and contributions from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Kirko Bangz, B.o.B, Dom Kennedy, Tyga, and Baby Bash. Now, he’s said to be working on a third installment titled GlassHouse (The Prequel), which he kicked off via his May drop “6 ‘N the Mornin’ (GMX),” a collaboration alongside Ty Dolla $ign, Snoop Dogg, and Ice-T. Via Complex, he also revealed that Schoolboy Q, Xzibit, Warren G, Cypress Hill, Too $hort, Raphael Saadiq, Coolio, and Tha Eastsidaz will be making appearances on the forthcoming release.

Earlier this month, he added to that with “Gangsta Boogie,” which features Kurupt and The Game and sees the hip hop veterans getting the party started with street-oriented bars over infectious, bouncy production reminiscent of the classic G-Funk era. All-in-all, it’s definitely the perfect track to spin for that sunny weather outside gathering.

As far as official albums go, GlassHouse 2: Life Ain’t Nuthin But... acts as the successor to Glasses’ debut Beach Cruiser, which was released in 2011 under Mack 10’s Hoo-Bangin’ Records and the Birdman and Lil Wayne-helmed Young Money/Cash Money imprint. In addition to the aforementioned, Beach Cruiser saw Glasses’ going toe-to-toe with heavyweights like Nipsey Hussle, Akon, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Jay Rock, and more — a deluxe edition added on even more heat with Tyrese, Mannie Fresh, Lupe Fiasco, and Wyclef Jean. Given his track record, fans can certainly expect GlassHouse (The Prequel) to be just as action-packed.

Check out both “Gangsta Boogie” and — if you missed it — “6 ‘N the Mornin’ (GMX).”
