Last year, Lil Gotit blessed the masses with Hood Baby 2, the sequel to his 2018 debut LP Hood Baby which saw contributions from the likes of Future, Lil Yachty, his blood brother Lil Keed, and Gunna — the last of whom assists on the standout cut “Drip Day N Night.” At some point after, Gunna decided to executive produce Gotit’s official follow-up, which has culminated into Top Chef Gotit, a body of work that was led by the hits “Wok,” “Burnt N Turnt,” “Toosie,” and “Work Out.” In addition to Gunna, the project also sees appearances from Keed, Yak Gotti, NAV, Millie Go Lightly, and Lil PJ.

One notable track on Top Chef Gotit is the Metro Boomin-produced “Grim Reaper,” a more introspective piece that sees Gotit rapping about his health, dangers within the streets, and more.

“I don’t talk about it, doctor, these pills been hurting my bodyMy dawg just caught a body on a molly, the lawyer callingThe way I put it on you dead gon’ drip it out the coffinI’m here forever, ain’t going nowhere, so the opps gon’ get no thoughts inDior grim reaper, she my party keeper...”

Much like his aforementioned brother, Lil Gotit has become somewhat of a darling amongst his peers, having already worked with many of hip-hop’s current heavyweight’s this early in his career — he even received a highly coveted co-sign from none other than Drake, a for-sure ticket to rap’s upper echelon. Gotit has also become fairly prolific in regards to his music — in addition to Hood Baby 2, 2020 also saw the full-length releases Superstar Creature and A-Team, the latter of which was a joint project alongside Keed, Lil Yachty, and legendary producer Zaytoven. Given that, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see even more from the Conley Road and Cleveland Avenue talent before year’s end.

Grab a toque and enjoy Top Chef Gotit — in addition to the album, fans can also check out a cameo-heavy video for “Get N Dere Gang,” which features Keed and Gotti.
