Currently, G-Eazy is said to be putting the finishing touches on his forthcoming album These Things Happen Too, a presumed continuation of his 2014 debut LP These Things Happen. The past few years have seen a slew of loose singles from the Bay Area artist, including “Still Be Friends” with Tory Lanez and Tyga, “Moana” with Jack Harlow, “Love Is Gone” with Drew Love and Jahmed, and “Down” with Mulatto. Now, G-Eazy teams up with Chris Brown for the infectious groove “Provide,” which is produced by Paul Cabbin, Cardiak, and Hitmaka and samples Mark Morrison’s classic 90’s cut “Return Of The Mack.”

As you’d expect, it’s the perfect vibe for delivering some fly talk to your favorite love interest, which the collaborators do effortlessly:

“We could go rounds, I wanna eat it like a entrée, favorite position, I be hittin’ that all kinda ways, you throw it back, I spent ten stacks, I feel like Andre, you into zodiacs? Girl, tell me what your sign say/

Won’t take your love for granted, it could all be gone today, let’s get away, tuck off, way out in Monterey, you said you scared of heights, but I know you ain’t scared to ride…/”

“Provide” also sees a fun visual courtesy of Edgar Esteves, which is centered around a proper house party filled with all of your favorite agents of debauchery. All in all, it’s another clip that reminds us of how lively times used to be pre-COVID.

Last year, G-Eazy decided to step outside of hip hop to create the more experimental body of work Everything’s Strange Here, a journey through various forms of rock, folk, and pop over ten tracks. Kossisko and Ashley Benson also make appearance on the project.

Press play on G-Eazy and Chris Brown’s “Provide” below. Hopefully, These Things Happen Too lies somewhere on the horizon.
