Soon, fans of G-Eazy will be able to enjoy his forthcoming release Everything’s Strange Here, which, if his recent drops indicate, will delve further outside of the traditional landscape than previous efforts. This week, he delivers another new single from the project titled “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime,” a rather melancholy track that sees the Bay Area star singing about what sounds like love and forgiveness toward those who are still evolving:

“Change your heart, look around you, change your heart, it will astound you/

And I need your lovin’, like the sunshine, everybody’s gotta learn sometime/

Everybody’s gotta learn sometime…/”

The accompanying “visualizer” shows G-Eazy performing the track while playing the piano, while shots of waves and distorted versions of the artist are spliced throughout. The track continues to follow the more folksy vibes presented on the previous singles “Stan By Me” and “Free Porn, Cheap Drugs.” Fans have also enjoyed G-Eazy’s renditions of classic rock and pop songs from legends like Michael Jackson, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Radiohead, and more.

Recently, G-Eazy spoke to Canadian outlet Global News about how he’s been faring during the Coronavirus pandemic:

“I’ve been writing a lot of music. Luckily, I have my own studio in my house, so I’ve been taking this time to work creatively and try to record as much as possible. It’s a rare opportunity when you look at it as a silver lining in that this is an opportunity to do something new with the time that you may never ever have again. I’ve been learning how to sing and play piano and just recording music.”

Fans can press play on “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime” below. Hopefully, Everything’s Strange Here will arrive soon — it was pushed back from its original June 5 date due to the current unrest happening around the country following recent deaths at the hands of law enforcement.
