This past weekend, Summer Walker made a big return with her sophomore LP Still Over It, which comes with 20 very emotionally charged cuts and additional contributions from Cardi B, City Girls’ JT, SZA, Ari Lennox, Lil Durk, Pharrell Williams, Omarion, and Ciara, the last of whom delivered a closing prayer that’s become a go-to for relating fans on social media. Unsurprisingly, Still Over It looks to be one of the best-selling this year — Hits Daily Double predicts that the album will land somewhere around the 200K mark in first-week units sold, putting it ahead of Walker’s critically acclaimed debut Over It.

Last night (Nov. 8), Walker appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” where she delivered a performance of the Lennox-assisted standout “Unloyal,” While Lennox didn’t appear, viewers were still able to enjoy the live rendition of the Boobie, Slimwav, Remey Williams, and London on da Track-produced offering, which serves as a proper ode to toxic lovers:

“I ain’t takin’ your shit today, no, I ain’t takin’ your shit tomorrow, no, we can do it my way, so, I ain’t stickin’, no, no, I ain’t stickin’ ‘round no more, ’cause you just wanna play with my heart, and, I seen you with the girl at the party, you think I’m just gon’ stand on by, and watch you waste my time? Boy, I am way too fine, so I’m out, guess I’m unloyal, baby…”

In related news, the release of Still Over It coincided with news about her contractual deal with LVRN, which drew a considerable amount of criticism for its allegedly predatory nature. Taking to social media, Walker shut down the claims, revealing that her record label business has evolved over time:

“What that article said is not my current record deal. Over the years my deal has changed many times. I’ve always had my own representation and full support from LVRN. Thank you to my fans for always having my back and for all of the love ya’ll keep showing my new album. Appreciate y’all!!”
