Dave East continues to feed his fans with bars as he drops off his latest track “No Lucc.” In the new video, East keeps it real New York and takes a walk through NYC’s Chinatown as he opens up the song declaring his presence:

“Let’s get back to the basics of living. We came from here, ain’t have to visit. Was natives, not pilgrims.”

Most recently, Dave East can be heard on J Stone’s new The Definition of Pain album on the track “What’s Beef” which also has a new visual out for it. He also teamed up with DJ Kay Slay right before 2020 closed out for his “Street Life” visual featuring Vado and Julian Morgan.

The Harlem rapper liberated the third installment of his well-received Karma mixtape series in August, which saw 15 tracks and assists from Mary J. Blige, Popcaan, Trey Songz, Trouble, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Young Dolph, Benny The Butcher, and more. A deluxe version of Karma 3 made landfall in October, adding on eight additional cuts and new collabs with the likes of DeJ Loaf, G Herbo, Junior Reid, Chris Brown, and Jeezy, who appeared on the remix of the project opener “Handsome.”

Dave East joined REVOLT in an episode of Drink Champs last year, and he shared a bit about being under Nas’ tutelage:

“To me, it’s easier,” “If you know him, you know Nas is cool, man, and he’s somebody that, he just gives me the game. If I got a question for big bro, he let me know exactly, like, ‘Nah, do that like that,’ and then I can just put that to however I was gonna move and just take his advice. But, it definitely helped s**t I was doing ‘cause the majority of people in hip hop culture that ain’t born in 2015, they’re fans of bro or they grew up to bro. So, that definitely helped me move a lot smoother.”
