At the start of the year, Westside Gunn teased a forthcoming film from his Griselda imprint titled Conflicted, which also stars Benny The Butcher, Duece King, Adiyon Dashalon, J Holiday, and Michael Rapaport. Today, The Butcher reveals a new song from the film’s official soundtrack titled “3:30 In Houston,” which is produced by Daringer and Beat Butcha and keeps with the vivid street tales that the Griselda camp is well known for — including one that led to an unfortunate shooting:

“We turned a brick to a lucrative business, my net worth ‘bout a cool two million, already know what you do for them hoes, but it’s about what you do for your n***as, meetings with HOV and kickin’ it with E, I put my team in a room with them billions/

Fuck all the bloggers, the n***as who shot me, fuck all the opps, and fuck Wendy Williams…/”

Directed by AK Reed, Conflicted sees Benny The Butcher starring as Buffalo gangster Hunter, who is trying to better his life — unfortunately, love and other emotions leave him fighting with the vary demons that previously cost him his freedom.

Back in October, Benny The Butcher blessed the masses with his second studio album Burden of Proof, which was entirely produced by Hit-Boy. The project saw 12 multi-layered cuts and additional assists from Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs, Dom Kennedy, Big Sean, Lil’ Wayne, Queen Naija, and Griselda cohorts Conway The Machine and Westside Gunn. Considered the most commercially successful body of work out of the Griselda camp, Burden of Proof landed within the top 30 of the Billboard 200 thanks to 19,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Mere months prior to Burden of Proof’s release, Benny teamed up with his Black Soprano Family collective for the DJ Drama-hosted project Da Respected Sopranos.
