The track is taken from Gunna’s latest album ‘WUNNA.’

Back in May, Gunna released his second studio LP WUNNA, which boasts 18 tracks and additional features from Young Thug, Roddy Ricch, Travis Scott, and more. This week, he reaches back to that project to deliver a new visual for “Blindfold,” which features Lil Baby and sees production from go-to beatsmith Wheezy. As the title suggests, the track has the duo rapping about not being able to see anything in front of them except for the money:

“Gunna spittin’ words like a mothaf***in’ poet, told ‘em, “Press start, I’ma go ahead and record,” push one button, I could close up the doors/

Made a few millions, give a f*** about the Forbes, drippin’ all the children, n***a, used to couldn’t afford, I was in the trenches rockin’ Gucci and Dior/

BET was trippin’, how I didn’t get an award? You got me a annoyed.../”

The accompanying visual seems to take from the Sandra Bullock-led Netflix film Bird Box, as Gunna and Lil Baby are seen walking around in various blindfolds, one of which has them tied together. Eventually, the two Atlanta stars make their way to their luxury whips, somehow managing to get to safety without sight — much like the aforementioned soon-to-be cult classic.

Since its release, WUNNA has become a big success, selling 111,000 album equivalent units during its first week of release and earning Gunna his first number one album on the Billboard 200. In addition, Gunna added a deluxe version a couple of months later that saw eight more dope cuts and new collaborations with the likes of NAV, Future, and Lil Uzi Vert. For all intents and purposes, Lil Baby’s year has been about the same — he released My Turn in February, which became his own first number one with 197,000 units sold. He followed that with My Turn (Deluxe) some months later.
