Last year, Young M.A graced the world with her debut studio album HERstory In The Making, which saw 21 tracks and a couple of assists from Relle Bey and Max YB. Today, she reaches back to that project to unveil a new visual for “Kold World,” a Zaytoven-produced cut that sees M.A focused on loyalty in the midst of a cruel environment:

“Loyalty ain’t nothin’ but a word, that’s my word, n***as actin’ like they in your lane, then they swerve, you can’t sit with us no more, this table is reserved, for n***as who deserve to eat and they gon’ eat for certain/

N***as ain’t gon’ leech off me, mm-mm, no, that’s for sure, it’s a cold world, brr-brr, buy a fur, I ain’t never stressed to be up next, I wait my turn, and I learned to stack up every dollar that I earned…/”

The video comes courtesy of ShotByCisco and keeps things pretty simple, with a fur-donning Young M.A both outside and in someone’s shop with her team. Special effects aside, this clip leaves most of the focus on M.A’s bars and subject matter.

This year saw Young M.A surprise her fans with a dope EP titled Red Flu, which saw seven hard-hitting cuts from the Brooklyn rhymer. She’s also been keeping the videos coming all 2020 for notable drops like “Numb/Bipolar,” “Sober Thoughts,” “2020 Vision,” “She Like I’m Like,” “Foreign,” “Quarantine Party,” “Dripset,” and many more.

In a past interview with REVOLT, Young M.A spoke on remaining humble and staying on the grind, even with her current success:

“It’s a lot of work to do man, don’t get me wrong, I know it’s a lot of people out there that really fucks with me, like, ‘yo shorty, you it.’ And I hear it all the time, but, I feel like I got so much groundwork to accomplish … I got much more work to do.”
