Following a couple of top tier singles, last week saw FKA twigs blessing her fans with a new mixtape titled CAPRISONGS, which contains 17 tracks and additional features from Pa Salieu, Jorja Smith, Unknown T, Daniel Caesar, Rema, Dystopia, Shygirl, Solo, and The Weeknd, the last of whom provided assistance on the infectious standout “tears in the club.” Accompanying CAPRISONGS was another visual from said project for the opening cut “ride the dragon,” a twigs, Jeff Kleinman, Sounwave, Koreless, and El Guincho-produced offering that begins with the British star speaking to her fans about the release:

“Think about—bout— all week, hey, I made you a mixtape, work hard, get my body—body weak, because when I feel you, I feel me, love play called hide and seek, and when I feel me, it feels good, that’s why I’ve been standing in the bright lights, for you, you wanna get a bit of my mystique—stique? I’m still that mysterious bitch, play ooh-là-là, très chic, ’cause no one does it like I do, gets lonely in a studio week, I keep it moving, keep on dancing…”

Directed by Aidan Zamiri, the accompanying clip for “ride the dragon” sees FKA twigs and her dancers running around Hackney to break out some choreographed dance moves guerrilla-style. As such, building and employees and presumed security can be seen making attempts to bring everything to a halt — thankfully, the group just keep the party going at a new location.

CAPRISONGS follows 2019’s MAGDALENE, a nine-song album with a single feature from Future. Since then, she’s delivered on loose cuts like “Anarchy,” “Don’t Judge Me” with Headie One and Fred again.., “Why Don’t You Love Me” with Dua Lipa, and “Measure Of A Man” with Central Cee, the last of which serves as a lead single for the film The King’s Man.
