Back in June, Shiva dropped off his latest project Dolce Vita, which saw 14 tracks and additional features from Lil Baby, Paky, and Guè. Since then, the Italian emcee has delivered a remix of the Dolce Vita standout with assistance from Geolier — he also unveiled an Adam11-produced single titled “Take 3” in November. Last week, Shiva and Adam11 reconnected on the hard-hitting drill cut “Aston Martin,” a collaboration alongside London‘s own Headie One that sees the artists reflecting on his past struggles while boasting about setting themselves apart from their peers:

“Yeah, pull up on a Aston Martin, feelin’ like I’m go carting, side by side, no parallel parking, it’s just one driver, one marksman, they say I’m a thugger, I play the field like I’m Verratti, though it’s anything green, get shh, I still eat gamberetti, spinaci, push to start, we don’t need no car key, my soldiers growin’, they slidin’, and it’s like half past three, shotgun longer than The Great Khali, dawgs tryna take over the town, so of course we got beef with the Malis, yeah, ’cause that shh got fried like a onion bhajees…”

The accompanying clip comes courtesy of Leonardo Mazzetti Bellinvia and Borotalco TV, and begins with a shot of Shiva mobbing heavy at his residence. Things then switch to higher-ended fare — beautiful women, projector performance shots, and a convoy of Aston Martins. Headie One also makes sure to bring his flare to the overall video, making for a final product that’s sure to garner a few replays.

This past October saw Headie liberating his latest project Too Loyal For My Own Good, which was led by singles like “2 Chains” and “Beggars Can’t Be Choosers.” 2021 also saw a deluxe edition of Headie’s official debut LP Edna, which altogether saw 28 songs and (following its initial release) earned the Tottenham talent the top spot on the UK Albums chart.
