With the likes of BIA, Cousin Stizz, Millyz, Joyner Lucas, and — by way of her family’s background — Coi Leray currently making waves, it’s pretty safe to say that the state of Massachusetts has more than proved its worth in regards to hip hop. Looking to add to that is Donald Grunge, a rising star from Boston who has recently liberated his debut LP In Gleem I Trust. The project comes with 11 cuts with production largely handled by Internet Money/10K Projects talent Isaiah Valmont.

Via press release, Grunge spoke on the creation of his new body of work:

“Making the album was like a burst of energy … I started working on it when I was in the Internet Money house for the first time. I was so inspired and excited to make music there. I brought my vision to [fellow producer] Daymian & he brought it to life.”

A couple of days after In Gleem I Trust made landfall, Grunge keep the momentum in high gear with a visual for the standout track “So Sorry,” which sees the Auto-Tuned rapper harmonizing about fashion, women, various vices, and other aspects of his care-free lifestyle:

“This hoodie is Seventh Heaven, Yeezy Boots step through the trenches, Cartier, look through my lenses, had nothing and I never forget it, needed fourteen, for the 50 CD, but I just had like eleven, but that was just back in the days, and now we use hunnits for treys, and now all of the gas that I face, she off of the molly for days…”

Directed by Daymian Meija, the accompanying clip keeps with the overall energy of the song, with shots of Grunge at the table with his crew, showing off his Tesla and some cash under the night sky, and more.
