Digga D’s still-very young career is already a true lesson in perseverance, as the 21-year-old has already experienced the types of obstacles that would stop many of his older peers in their tracks. Largely known as a prominent member of 1011 (now known as CGM), the Ladbroke Grove star has seen his music banned at every turn — he’s also found himself behind bars more than once as a result of the United Kingdom’s controversial Criminal Behaviour Order. Despite this, Digga D continues to press on, and has managed to remain a frontrunner of his country’s wildly popular drill scene.

Back in February, Digga liberated his second solo project Made in the Pyrex, a 13-track tour de force that boasts the well-received single “Bluuwuu” and sees additional contributions from AJ Tracey, M1llionz, Sav’o, and ZK. The project was both a critical and commercial success, peaking at the number one and three spots on UK’s R&B Albums and Official Albums charts, respectively. This week, he teams up with Brighton’s own ArrDee for his latest drop “Wasted,” a more genre-bending offering that features production from Jacob Manson and Finn Wigan and — as the title suggests — is an ode to indulging in your favorite vices:

“Get me whiteboy wasted, get me lit, get me pissed, get me faded, get the condoms, get the gal dem naked, want the long john, it’s the dick that she tasting, now she hot like a basin, don’t say it, just save it, all my shoes got laces, don’t make badman blaze it, anytime that I jump on a beat like this, gotta shout AJ ‘cah that flow is his, evеry other day I get stopped by CID’s, still mix Amnesia weed with cigs…”
