It’s been a few years since Nicki Minaj dropped off her fourth studio album Queen, a 19-track masterpiece that saw additional features from Eminem, Labrinth, Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Swae Lee, Future, and Foxy Brown. The project debuted at number two thanks to 185,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Since then, she’s peppered the industry with an occasional single and collaboration, including “Megatron,” “Tusa” with Karol G, “What That Speed Bout?” with Mike WiLL Made-It, “Expensive” with Ty Dolla $ign, “Whole Lotta Choppas (Remix)” with Sada Baby, and “Say So (Remix)” with Doja Cat — the last of which landed her a number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

Back in May, Nicki made an official return to the forefront with a re-issue of her 2009 classic Beam Me Up Scotty, which mixed choice cuts from the original body of work and older loosies with new drops like “Seeing Green” and “Crocodile Teeth.” More recently, Drake posted a pic of him in Nicki’s studio, prompting many to believe that some new music waited in the rafters nearby. Now, following a slow burn reveal via live stream, we now know what it is — a remix of BIA’s “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” with the Young Money veteran.

The original version of “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” can be found on BIA’s 2020 EP FOR CERTAIN, which contained eight cuts with contributions from Lil Durk, Lil Jon, Doe Boy, and 42 Dugg. Prior to that, the Massachusetts emcee liberated the projects #CholaSeason and Nice Girls Finish Last: Cuidado in 2014 and 2018, respectively. More recently, she can also be heard providing show-stealing verses on tracks like Russ’ “Best On Earth,” Cousin Stizz’s “Perfect (Remix),” and Kiana Ledé’s “Labels.”

Press play on BIA and Nicki Minaj’s “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” — hopefully, we’ll be hearing more from BIA on wax sooner than later.
