Sylvester Stallone, Megan Fox, and more are said to be appearing in the fourth installment of the series.

Back in 2010, fans headed into theaters to check out the action film The Expendables, which was written by David Callaham and Sylvester Stallone, the latter of whom also stars and handles directorial duties. The action-packed movie — which featured fellow veteran actors Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, and more — was a massive commercial success, earning north of $270 million on a roughly $80 million budget. As a result, two eqsequels spawned from the original — 2012’s The Expendables 2 and 2014’s The Expendables 3 — which even more A-list help from the likes of Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Fast forward to yesterday (August 30), when it was revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that Lionsgate and Millennium Media will be producing a fourth installment of the popular series, with Stallone, Statham, Lundgren, and Randy Couture confirmed to return. Newcomers listed include Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, and 50 Cent — the last of whom took to social media to express his excitement over his forthcoming role:

Jason Constantine, president of acquisitions and co-productions for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, also promised nothing short of amazement with such a well-seasoned cast:

“It’s so much fun to bring these stars together for a no-holds-barred action film … The new film will raise the stakes and be the biggest, most badass adventure yet.”

No stranger to the big and small screen, 50 Cent — real name: Curtis Jackson — was last seen playing as Cassius Dawkins on the ABC legal drama “For Life,” a show that he also executive produced. He’s also been a major piece of the Stallone-starring vehicle Escape Plan, most recently appearing in the series’ third installment, Escape Plan: The Extractors, in 2019. Next month, fans will get to see his latest executive produced effort “Black Mafia Family,” which will take viewers through the life and history of brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory.

Hopefully, all parties will reveal more information — including a plot, official title, and scheduled release date — for The Expendables 4 soon.
