The song is expected to appear on the second installment of ‘Land of Nothing Real.’

Last year, Lonr. popped onto the music scene with his debut EP Land Of Nothing Real. The seven-track project featured appearances from H.E.R. and 24kGoldn. Now, he makes his return with his brand new single, the Yung Bleu assisted “Read My Mind.” On the short but sweet new offering, Lonr. sets the tone with his melodic opening:

We’ve been up all night long, dancin’ to the same old song/ We both know right from wrong, you’re someone I would miss, on God/ If you ever left my arms, don’t wanna lose what we got/ We just want the good life, we just want the good life

She just wanna live, we always say, “One more time”/ We just wanna dream all night, thinkin’ she could change my life/ Run away, it’s just you and I, we don’t know where this goes/ Ready to lose control

This year has seen a few other appearances from Lonr., including an assists on Annale’s “Title,” Noah Cunane’s “Boy With A Broken Heart” and his own single “World.” He also made sure to take time to say a few words about the song’s meaning. “This is a song about relationships that we want to happen or work out, but might not have a chance,” Lonr. explains via press release. “Whether it’s being afraid of commitment or the wrong place at the wrong time, these are thoughts we have about someone we can love.”

Back in July, Yung Bleu revealed his official debut LP Moon Boy, which sees 15 tracks and a slew of features from the likes of John Legend, H.E.R., Kodak Black, Moneybagg Yo, Kehlani, Big Sean, Jeezy, Gunna, Chris Brown, 2 Chainz, and Drake — the last of whom appeared on the Platinum-certified single “You’re Mines Still (Remix).”
