Back in March, Russ Millions and Tion Wayne dropped the runaway hit “Body,” a track that’s easily in the running for song of the year due to his critical and commercial success, topping worldwide charts and earning the duo a Platinum certification in the UK. Since then, Wayne has kept his own momentum going with “Wow” — now, Russ returns to the fold with “Big Shark,” a J1 GTB and Rxckson-produced cut that spawned from a leaked conversation between Stefflon Don and Dutchavelli that compared Russ to the wildly popular “Baby Shark” franchise. The track even mentions Stefflon early on:

“Baby shark, goo-goo, ga-ga, goin’ straight to the top, Mashallah, wanna dick down Steff, Astaghfirullah, would’ve picked her up but I’m too maga, Stephanie, hot like lava, haffi mek, Lady Gaga, take my time and rev, then go faster, took a break, come back ten times harder, but hit that plenty, missionary, I hit that gently, bu-buss my ting till my whole ting’s empty...”

Taking his viral connection with Stefflon even further, the accompanying clip for “Big Shark” features the XXL Freshman alum prominently throughout, making for a humorous flip of the aforementioned cartoon series. Russ is also seen dancing with DJ Cuppy, mobbing heavy with his color-matching crew, and more.

Last year, Russ Millions dropped off the well-received EPs Russ Hour and My Son: The EP, collaborating with the likes of E1, Buni, Turner, Frankk Finesse, Cash Hefty, and GBM Nutron. Prior to that, he kept the streets fed with high-charting songs like “Gun Lean,” “Keisha & Becky” with Wayne, “Mr Sheeen” with Digga D, and “Splash” with Dappy. Hopefully, there’s a new body of work somewhere on the horizon filled with more of the infectious drill cuts that Russ has become so popular for.
