The original version of the single made landfall back in June.

Back in June, Headie One made a big return with his new single “Pound Signs,” complete with a cinematic visual to match. Yesterday (June 25), the London star follows that with a remix of the hard-hitting drill cut, which now sees some additional assistance from J Ramms, a talent that day one fans remember under the moniker Flake Caesar. As such, he has no problem matching the song’s energy with his brand of bars and real life subject matter:

“24 hours on the strip, 24 hours on the grind, in the bando, flip the switch, shut the door and, close the blinds, instrumental, bust a rhyme, blowin’ mental, bust the nine, trust me, I’m pissed ‘cause he lost a line, a man who cooks, so don’t cross the line...”

This past May, Ramms liberated the project Finding My Fire, an eight-track body of work that saw a couple of assists from Young Ess and and JUJU. Then, last month, the South Londoner joined Big Jest, Kayspinit, Bck, Sevz. Kaze, DripkidAJ, MWavey, and Rampage for a “Plugged In” session with Fumez The Engineer, further raising his profile as one of the artists to look out for in the months to come.

Meanwhile, Headie One continues to thrive following the release of his debut LP EDNA, which was released last October and saw the Tottenham emcee collaborating alongside M Huncho, AJ Tracey, Stormzy, Young T & Bugsey, Young Adz, Future, Drake, Skepta, and more across 20 cuts. The project was met with critical acclaim, and earned Headie One a number one placement on the UK albums chart thanks to about 15,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. This past February, a deluxe edition of the Silver-certified EDNA made landfall with eight extra songs and added contributions from Rich The Kid, NorthSideBenji, Burna Boy, and RV.
