It’s been some time since MoStack dropped off his debut LP Stacko, a 13-track offering that saw additional appearances from Stormzy, J Hus, Dave, Fredo, and Dolapo. We have seen a slew of dope singles since — from last year, the North London emcee has blessed fans with “Staqdó,” “Loyal,” “Training Day” with Loski, and “Miss Me” with AJ Tracey. Given the responses to the music, it’s clear that a demand for a new album from MoStack is rising exponentially.

Presumably looks to quell everyone’s appetites, MoStack returns with a new single titled “Ride,” which sees production from Rxwntree and sees the British talent rapping about staying ten toes down with his family and loved ones:

“Ay yo, I’m outside, are you inside? Everybody bad until the maddest man died, I ain’t ever going down without putting up a fight, yo, it’s ‘fuck you’ for life if you’re with the other side, would you ride, would you ride? Mm, it’s hard to decide, if your niggas’ real or fake, I’m watchin’ from the eye, fuck what they say, I still do what I desire…”

Directed by Wowa, the clip is mainly centered in and around the Wat Tyler estate in MoStack’s Hornsey stomping grounds, where he can be seen posted up with his crew. The rest of the video matches MoStack lyrics in both vivid and sometimes humorous fashion, making for an excellent final product that’s worth several replays.

Back in 2019, MoStack revealed during an interview with Tim Westwood that he’s autistic, something that’s kept him from doing many interviews:

“It’s not as easy for me to communicate … I see things differently from a lot of the normal people … If I’m not comfortable with you, I can’t really mess with you, to be honest, bro, sorry.”
