It’s officially Virgo season, and many of your favorite artists and producers are celebrating with some new music for the fans. Case in point — hip hop veteran DJ Envy honored his latest trip around the sun with a boom bap single titled “Sittin In My Car,” which features assistance from fellow New York stars Fabolous and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. The self-produced cut shows the collaborators rapping to their respective ladies from their high luxury whips:

“When you tell me pull up, I’m there, you know I’m real, that’s real, so don’t have me waiting too long, yeah, now we sittin’ in my car/

’Bout to take my shot like I’m sittin’ at the bar, shawty wanna smoke so we lit one in the car, now we layin’ in the cut like hitman in the car, ass so fat, it barely fit into the car…/”

“Sittin In My Car” marks DJ Envy’s first official release since 2018’s “Hardaway (Remix),” his collaboration with Derez De’Shon that featured additional assistance from Yo Gotti and 2 Chainz. A year prior, he dropped the DJ Sliink and Fetty Wap-assisted cut “Text Ur Number.” It’s hopeful that the new release also acts as a momentum starter for “The Breakfast Club” DJ’s long-awaited album Just A Kid From Queens.

In related news, DJ Envy and his radio show co-hosts Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God have recently been inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame, joining fellow peers like Donnie Simpson, Angie Martinez, and Sway Calloway. Envy took to social media to express his gratitude following the big announcement:

“We Made It!!!! 2020 Radio Hall of Fame Inductees!!! Thank You to all of you for riding with us..”
