DJ Khaled has been more than generous to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The super-producer recently donated over $45,000 to DJ Envy’s “I Love My DJ” GoFundMe.

“Bless up to the DJs!” Khaled tweeted. “I saw @djenvy’s go fund me post and heard the goal was to raise 50K for the DJs so I put the remaining $45,255 up. We are here to support each other! We are in this together!”

Envy started the GoFundMe to raise funds for DJs across the country that have been out of work since the COVID-19 pandemic hit America.

“During this pandemic, you’ve seen DJs step up to the plate and throw virtual parties to keep the spirits up during this quarantine,” Envy wrote on the GoFundMe. “It’s tough right now for so many DJs to provide for their families with no bars, clubs, lounges or events to work.”

He continued, “For a lot of DJs, there is no unemployment option, health care, savings or retirement plan. This is a fitting opportunity to come together and support those who uplift and entertain us through their musical craft. Let’s help our DJs in need. No amount is too small!”

Envy took to Instagram to thank Khaled for his generous donation. He also announced that this Sunday (Apr. 12), he will host “DJ For A Good Cause” to raise additional funds. Envy will kick off the event with a set from 12-1 pm ET and other DJs such as D-Nice, Kid Capri, Quicksilva, Mr. Rogers and Tony O’Neal will also spin live on Instagram.

Khaled’s philanthropy doesn’t stop there. He and his wife Nicole recently donated 10,000 masks and gloves to local hospitals in Miami and New York City.

“Helping our local community when and where we can has always been our mission since we started the We The Best Foundation back in 2018,” Khaled said in a statement. ”By partnering with Direct Relief, Nicole and I are able to reach the medical staff who are most at risk in local hospitals in New York and Miami. It’s important to us to take care of those who take care of us.”
