On August 28, EA Sports will unveil their latest installment of the hugely successful Madden NFL series, leading to some lively in-house football competitions everywhere. In that same week, they will also unveil the official soundtrack for the game, which will see appearances from Big K.R.I.T., Jack Harlow, EARTHGANG, Smino, Childish Major, Denzel Curry, and more. Anderson .Paak is also contributing to the compilation with the funky new single “CUT EM IN,” which features assistance from Rick Ross. Produced by Corbett, Hit-Boy, and G. Ry, the hip hop-heavy cut sees the artists promising financial wealth to their most loyal mates:

“Sometimes you need a friend, not the ones that just show up and don’t put nothin’ in, you know the ones that lend a hand and wanna see you win, when you come up on a lick, make sure you cut ‘em in, and then/

Sometimes you need a foe, one that keep your eyes open, keep you on your toes, you know the ones that wanna keep you where you been before, but I can’t go, no I can’t go…/”

“CUT EM IN” follows Anderson .Paak’s “Lockdown” and its subsequent remix, which saw the California star speaking to the Black Lives Matter movement and its protests alongside Jay Rock, J.I.D, and Noname. Prior to that, he collaborated with Justin Timberlake on the Trolls World Tour cut “Don’t Slack.”

Recently, Rick Ross took part in the Swizz Beatz and Timbaland-led “VERZUZ” series, going up against 2 Chainz in what might be one of the best song-for-song battles thus far. He also used that opportunity to premiere a socially and politically charged single of his own titled “Pinned To The Cross,” which features Finn Matthews. Presumably, that track will appear on Ross’ forthcoming 11th studio LP Richer Than I’ve Ever Been.
