Today (December 8) marks one year since the world lost Juice WRLD, and many are still reeling from the tragic loss. One of the many keeping the Chicago star’s name alive is The Kid LAROI., who has revealed an unreleased collaboration with Juice WRLD titled “Reminds Me Of You,” which is produced by Aaron Joseph, Theron Thomas, Sam Sumser, Sean Small, and Dr. Luke. The track is centered around the artists isolating themselves due to heartbreak, something that many can certainly relate to:

“Gotta step out, get some fresh air, posted in the club, saw you pull up with your rebound, remind me again, uh, who kicked who out whose house? Remind me again, uh, who’s fuckin’ on who now?

Fightin’ for my heart and baby, I never lose, no, I can’t get high, ‘cause it reminds me of you, if you ever needed me, girl, I was flyin’ to you, told you that I loved you, girl, I wasn’t lyin’ to you…/”

Earlier this year, Grade A and Interscope liberated Juice WRLD’s first posthumous LP Legends Never Die, which saw 22 tracks and additional features from The Weeknd, Trippie Redd, Marshmello, Polo G, Halsey, and more. The project also proved to be one of 2020’s most successful, landing at the top of the Billboard 200 thanks to 497,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.

In related news, DJ Scheme recently clarified to HotNewHipHop whether or not a song with Juice WRLD and XXXTentacion existed, something he alluded to earlier this year:

“I was chilling with Juice and he’s like, ‘yo listen to this’. It was a remix of ‘Whoa’ on Skins and it sounded— it was awesome … A really beautiful song. … I tweeted before that I’m gonna be better about trying to be more accurate with timing and not just tweet something when I hear about it, without the confirmation. I’m just trying to keep the people updated.”
