This year, Wiz Khalifa has made sure that his Taylor Gang fans were well-fed with music during the quarantine — he’s already liberated top-quality projects like It’s Only Weed Bro, 3 Doobies, Big Pimpin, and The Saga of Wiz Khalifa. This past weekend, the Pittsburgh star blessed his fans with a new visual for the Big Pimpin cut “Numbers,” which is directed by Mike Marasco and sees Khalifa enjoying some of his own adult beverage in the comforts of his home.
This weekend also marked Wiz Khalifa Day, a holiday that was put in place back in 2012. Wiz accepted the honor at Pittsburgh’s City Council with his family by his side:
“Thank you guys. I really appreciate it. It means a lot to me... Even when I moved around when I was younger, everywhere I went, I told people I was from Pittsburgh. To come so far and to represent and to have everybody be proud of me and happy that I’m doing so well, I don’t even feel like I’m doing the greatest. I could do better and better. But with your guys’ support, I think I could be the best ever.”
Wiz Khalifa’s last official studio album, Rolling Papers 2, was released in 2018 and boasted 25 tracks with additional features from Curren$y, Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, Swae Lee, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. That project also landed Wiz at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to 80,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Rolling Papers 2 also acted as the official sequel to Wiz’s major-label debut Rolling Papers, which made landfall back in 2011.
