Despite his current incarceration, Kodak Black refuses to stop delivering new music to the masses. Today, the Florida rapper unveils his third studio LP Bill Israel, named after both his now legal name Bill K. Kapri and his religious faith. The project sees 11 tracks and features from Jackboy, Tory Lanez, CBE, Gucci Mane, and Lil Yachty. The album was also preceded by Kodak’s “Real Is Rare” docuseries, which showed viewers some behind the scenes action prior to his imprisonment.

One particular standout from Bill Israel is “Serene,” the chorus of which sees Kodak harmonizing about wanting to get his life together:

“I’ve been tryna be more serene, I’ve been tryna let go of the beans, every day I’m pourin’ lean, I’ve been thinkin’ this ho’ for me, I’ve been tryna keep everything goin’ steady, I just wanna be free, I wanna be level headed...”

Bill Israel follows the release of the loose singles “Because of You” and “Vultures Cry 2” with WizDaWizard and Mike Smiff. His last official album was 2018’s Dying To Live, which saw 16 cut and assists from Lil Pump, Travis Scott, Offset, and the late Juice WRLD. Further proving his star power, Dying To Live landed Kodak at the top of the Billboard 200 thanks to 89,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release, subsequently earning a Gold plaque.

Currently, Kodak Black is serving a 46-month prison sentence for his highly publicized federal gun charge case. Despite attempts at an appeal and reported issues regarding prison guards and the current Coronavirus pandemic, he’s not expected to see freedom until he reaches his eligibility for parole in 2022.

Fans can press play on Kodak Black’s new album below. Much like other artists before him, one can expect more music releases to make landfall throughout the rest of his sentence.
