Next month, Trey Songz will release his eighth studio LP Back Home, which will feature 22 tracks, including the previously released singles “Circles,” “2020 Riots: How Many Times,” and the Summer Walker-assisted title track. Over the weekend, fans got to hear another single from the forthcoming project titled “Two Ways,” which sees Trey Songz wanting out of a one-sided relationship:

“Look, never been the one to play the fool, always been the one to keep it cool, I’m a player, got me breakin’ rules, ever since I fеll in love with you, keep it one hunnid like thе proof, drinkin’ all night, please excuse/

Anything I’m ‘bout to say to you, I don’t really got nothin’ to lose, swangin’ and ridin’, I pull up and slide in you, say it’s just me but I feel like you’re lyin’, your phone’s goin’ crazy, you switch it to silent, I only do that when there’s somethin’ I’m hidin’…/”

The track also comes with a video showing Songz previewing the track in-studio for his Instagram Live audience — a social media tactic that has become a top tier way of sharing content with the audience during the quarantine.

Back Home will follow 2017’s Tremaine the Album, which saw 15 cuts and a single assist from MIKExANGEL. That release peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 thanks to 45,000 album equivalent units sold, only being bested by Drake’s More Life and Ed Sheeran’s ÷ during its first week of release. Prior to that, the Virginia crooner liberated the number one album Trigga in 2014, which saw collaborations alongside Nicki Minaj, Mila J, Ty Dolla $ign, Justin Bieber, and Juicy J. A Reloaded version of Trigga with four additional songs was released the following year.

Press play on Trey Songz’s “Two Ways” below. Back Home is expected to make landfall October 9.
