While visiting London, GIVĒON decided to grace the Live Lounge stage for BBC Radio 1Xtra, where he gave the viewers dope renditions of choice cuts like the Take Time hit “Heartbreak Anniversary” and his newest single “For Tonight.” He also decided to put his own spin on PinkPantheress’ single “Just for me,” a standout cut from her recently released debut LP to hell with it. GIVĒON’s acoustic rendition of the genre-bending cut adds to the somewhat melancholy vibe of the song’s subject matter:

“I found the street of the house in which you stay, and my diary’s full of your name on every page, ’cause I read somewhere you’ll fall in love with me, I’ll try and try again, one day you’ll see, your hair’s under my pillow so I sleep, and I’m dreaming of you leaving roses at my feet, I’m obsessed with you in a way I can’t believe, when you wipe your tears do you wipe them just for me?”

Both the aforementioned Take Time and another EP titled When It’s All Said and Done were released in 2020 to critical acclaim. This past March, GIVĒON then merged both projects into When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time and added a new single titled “All To Me,” a presumed ode to infidelity:

“Wait, if this what you want, baby, okay, he give you his all but you have no patience, you made the call so I ain’t complainin’, back on your way, wait, oh … you can’t do it anymore, I understand just wherе he went wrong, so I got your hands wherе they don’t belong…”

When It’s All Said and Done… Take Time landed GIVĒON within the top five of the Billboard 200 thanks to roughly 30,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. That body of work also subsequently earned the Cali crooner a well-deserved Gold plaque.
