Baltimore’s very own Shordie Shordie returns today (Sept. 24) with the intimate new single “Specific.” The track features Los Angeles’ favorite breakout star Blxst and serves as Shordie’s first solo music since his February project with Murda Beatz, Memory Lane. On the new track, Shordie sets up the vibe with his smooth opening hook about relationships:

You be bein’ too specific, I guess I’m comin’ with you/ She said it wasn’t it, but it was somethin’ to you, no time I got, for real, so I’m just stuck in a room/ Think that I’m trippin’ goin’ on, like I don’t wanna be rememberin’ you without you rememberin’ me

Forget how we started, without rememberin’ we, I had to pop out like magic, can see it’s tragic, Catch it, I gotta stretch it, East Atlanta Fall, and we got cocaina, boss/ She here touchin’, now she got it, she got cocaina goals/ Type to hold a gun, you never holdin’ one, you not the only one

The aforementioned Memory Lane is a 12-track effort that saw a single assist from Trippie Redd on the standout single “LOVE.” Prior to that, he blessed his exponentially growing fanbase with the top tier projects Music and Captain Hook, the latter of which was led by the Platinum-certified single “Betchua (Bitchuary).”

A few months ago, Blxst treated fans to a surprise two-pack EP featuring Drakeo The Ruler and Russ. The pack is the first release since Blxst’s critically acclaimed debut project, No Love Lost, late last year. The project has been well-received, amassing over 100 million streams to date. With all of this going on, he has also always found the time to consistently release visuals for his track as well.

Be sure to press play on Shordie Shordie’s brand new single “Specific” featuring Blxst.
