Back in January, O Racks delivered his latest body of work Fifty1six, which contained 10 cuts and a couple of contributions from Rhoco Benjie and Jet Dope. Last month, he and Rhoco connected with Zeeko for the bouncing, infectious cut “I’m The Type,” a Yozora-produced offering that pulls from California and Michigan rap styles to create a banger perfect for the whip or the dance floor:

“I’m the type of nigga start it up and air it out, only bitches on my dick, I’m tryna tear it out, count this money, whoop whoop, bet they hear me now, trap house a drive thru, like an In-N-Out, whatchu wanna do, I fuck a lil bitch or two, you can’t bring a friend, baby girl, I need a few, ahh, pull up in somethin’ new, canary diamonds, they be shining, it’s the color blue…”

Via press release, the New York talent explained how the hard-hitting track came together, as well as the meaning behind its creation:

“In Hollywood, everyone parties together. When you’re not an L.A. native, you notice the locals’ taste in music. From what I witnessed, most people gravitate towards Cali and Detroit type beats because the energy makes it easy to dance to. So I told the producer to send me something in that lane.”

Born and raised in Hempstead, O Racks has been paying his dues in music for quite some time, crafting hits and making promotional runs to cities of Atlanta, Miami, and Rhode Island to build his Tree Gang Entertainment brand. At some point, he landed on Rich The Kid’s radar — that relationship spawned the well-received single “Prices” back in 2017. 2020 proved to be O Racks’ most prolific to date, thanks to his delivering an album’s worth of top tier songs like “Perc Hit” with Rah Swish, “We Trappin’,” “Hood Tales,” and “Back and Forth” with Millisace. Hopefully, there’s plenty more hit to arrive before this year’s end.
