Back in July, Isaiah Rashad dropped off his long-awaited sophomore LP The House Is Burning, which contains 16 dope cuts with additional appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Duke Deuce, Smino, Jay Rock, Jay Worthy, 6LACK, SZA, and more. The project has since proved to be both a return to form and a commercial success for the Tennessean talent, landing him his first top ten placement on the Billboard 200 thanks to 41,000 first-week album equivalent units sold.

Today, Rashad enters the new month with another visual from said album for “Chad,” a Kal Banx and Devin Malik-backed offering that features fellow hometown here YGTUT and sees the two collaborators delivering some laid-back rhymes in the vein of the legendary Pimp C:

“If I wasn’t rapping, baby, I would still be ridin’ Mercedes, my new whips look so related, my old bitch was overrated, if you pop that pill, remember, niggas fold like huns and fifties, if you on that cup, remember, niggas fold like…”

The Jack Begert and Mez Heirs-directed clip begins with Rashad riding around in a classic Mercedes Benz, both solo and with a crew tagging along for the journey — he eventually stops at a gas station and performs while several dope cameos from the likes of REASON, Denzel Curry, and Childish Major are interspersed throughout. Elsewhere, YGTUT gives off darker vibes in a dimly lit bathroom, washing blood from his hands during his verse.

The House Is Burning comes after Rashad’s official debut The Sun’s Tirade, which made landfall in 2016. That release saw 17 cuts with contributions from the likes of SiRKendrick LamarZacari, Lance Skiiiwalker, and Kari Faux. The Sun’s Tirade also housed classic singles like “4r da Squaw,” “Free Lunch,” and “Park.”
