Just a few months ago, Benny The Butcher teamed up with Harry Fraud for The Plugs I Met 2, the sequel to 2019’s The Plugs I Met that saw nine tracks with additional features from Fat Joe, Chinx, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Jim Jones, Rick Hyde, and Teyonahhh. He now makes his return to drop off “Pyrex Picasso,” his latest single featuring assists from Conway The Machine and Rick Hyde. On the gritty beat, the opening bars set the hustling tone:

I made my first few thousand by accident, I swear you don’t even know the half of it/

Last year was a major year for Benny The Butcher and his Black Soprano Family collective — beginning with the crew’s joint release with DJ Drama in July. Months later, Benny would connect with Hit-Boy for his sophomore studio LP Burden of Proof, which saw contributions from Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Dom Kennedy, Queen Naija, and — of course — Griselda cohorts Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine. BSF members delivered music of their own as well, including Hyde’s Plates 2 on the Way EP and Heem’s Long Story Short with DJ Green Lantern.

In terms of what Conway The Machine has been up to, his La Maquina dropped this April, and it follows last year’s official debut LP From King To A GOD. FKTG boasts 14 cuts with contributions from DeJ Loaf, Method Man, Havoc, Lloyd Banks, Armani Caesar, Freddie Gibbs, and the usual Griselda suspects. Months later, he would liberate a deluxe edition with five new songs. In addition to From King To A GOD, the prolific Conway also blessed his fans with the Alchemist-backed LULU, as well as the Big Ghost-backed drops No One Mourns the Wicked and If It Bleeds It Can Be Killed.
