BigWalkDog is quickly becoming one of the bigger faces on the southern rap scene, much in part thanks his recent partnering up with Gucci Mane’s thriving New 1017 movement. For his latest drop, Tutwiler, Mississippi rapper teams up with Lil Baby and labelmate Pooh Shiesty for “Whole Lotta Ice,” a PabloMCR and ScottyBrook-produced offering that stays true to its title in regards to subject matter:

“Left wrist snow cone, water on both arms, pendant fifty, I ain’t put the rope on, all white bricks with the coke on, Wafi told me this AP four-tone, you ain’t seen brrr like this in so long, so much ice, I feel like Frozone, wrist won’t unthaw when you blow on it, custom piece on the way, it’s a go on it…”

Shot by Omar The Director, the accompanying clip for “Whole Lotta Ice” is a true lesson in excess, beginning with BigWalkDog in what looks like a jewelry store with a plethora of jewelry. The rest of the clip sees the rising star and his collaborators in different locations, including out in the streets and at someone’s lavish function — complete with literal tigers in cages nearby. Fellow peers like 42 Dugg, BIG30, Young Dolph, Gucci Mane, Jack Harlow, Bankroll Freddie, and others make notable appearances throughout.

“Whole Lotta Ice” follows the equally hard-hitting “Came From Da Bottom,” which takes both listener and viewer to BigWalkDog’s humble upbringing and small town stomping grounds. He also made a prominent appearance on Gucci Mane’s “Poppin,” a standout track from the Atlanta legend’s latest album Ice Daddy. Presumably, we’ll be seeing an introductory body of work from BigWalkDog sooner than later.
