Prayers up for Young M.A., who reportedly revealed her plans to seek help from a treatment facility in battling an unspecified addiction. According to multiple news outlets, the 29-year-old Brooklyn star recently shared a post in which she informed her followers that she was en route to rehab.
“Bouta lose this addiction,” she captioned an Instagram post that has since been deleted. “Omw to rehab.”
She also shared a post that indicates she’s relying on God to assist in her recovery.
“Loving God, I pray that you will comfort me in my suffering, lend skill to the hands of my healers, and bless the means used for my cure,” Young M.A. tweeted last week.
“Give me such confidence in the power of your grace that even when I am afraid, I may put my whole trust in you.”
It is not clear whether Young M.A. ever checked into any facility, but according to her recent social media posts, she’s still outside. Over the weekend, she shared a photo on her Instagram page and updated her story with videos of her boasting about the massage seats in her vehicle and promoting her songs “Nasty” featuring Max Yb and the Wap5TAR-assisted “Klub Stories” — both tracks off of her Off the Yak project that dropped on May 21.
The 11-track album comes after her Red Flu EP, which she released during quarantine, and also features fellow Brooklynite Fivio Foreign and Rubi Rose, who she collaborated with on “Don Diva” and its accompanying visual — a recreation of LL Cool J’s 1996 video for “Doin’ It.” Young M.A. also worked alongside hitmakers like NY Bangers, Jai Beats, Mike Zombie, SOUNDSfromIKEY and JayUncut, who produced some of the beats on her record.
