Back in February, Jim Jones teamed up with Harry Fraud for The Fraud Department, an 11-track offering with additional features from Belly, Dave East, Curren$y, Jay Worthy, Conway The Machine, and more. This week, the Dipset general unveils a new video from that project for “Three Cuts,” a collaboration with Maino that samples both Isaac Hayes iconic Shaft standout “Do Your Thing,” and a timeless line from JAY-Z’s “Do It Again” from Vol. 3… Life and Times of S. Carter. All-in-all, it provides the perfect backdrop for Jones and Maino’s boastful street bars:

“I’ve been on private jets, nigga really with Diddy, nigga, ask about the blood, they say he illy in the bity, you see what happened to B.I.G., they put bullets through his truck, now we rappin’ to B.I.G. in a bulletproof truck, summer’s around the corner, tell ‘em pull the coupes up, that all black GT with the Bentley booth cut, I treat my whips like nest, four birds in the dawn, this smile Off-White, bitch this is Virgil Vuitton…”

Directed by Will C, the video for “Three Cuts” mainly takes place in both an all-white room and what looks like an auto garage, with Jones, Maino, some crew members, and the obligatory eye candy matching the energy of the top quality number.

Back in November, the Dipset general unveiled El Capo (Deluxe), an upgrade of his 2019 release that altogether contained 31 wongs with assists from the likes of Juelz Santana, Vado, Fred The Godson, Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Cam’ron, Benny The Butcher, Fabolous, Jadakiss, RAIN, and Ball Greezy, among others. In addition to his own drops, fairly recent months have seen Jones providing verses for Trav’s Nothing Happens Overnight, French Montana’s CB5, and Young Thug and YSL’s Slime Language 2.
