Nicki Minaj has earned the final spot in Rap Caviar’s 2010s Mount Rushmore list.

On Friday (May 28), the Rap Caviar Twitter account started days of online debates, hoping to determine which emcee was fit to be named alongside Kendrick Lamar, Drake and J. Cole. “Who deserves the fourth spot on the 2010s Mount Rushmore?” the tweet asked; Nicki Minaj, Future, Kanye West and Lil Wayne were listed as possible options.

The post instantly made its way around Twitter, garnering comments from LeBron James, who previously selected Future as his desired choice. “Future Hendrix,” he wrote in response to the question, to which Nicki confidently replied, “Never thought I’d get the opportunity to give you the alley oop. But you almost had it. It’s N I C K I…EMMMM I N A J!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Judging from the updated polls, fans seem to agree with the Beam Me Up Scotty star. After 170,000 people casted their votes, the results show that 39.9% said that Nicki deserves to be added to the 2010s list. Kanye West came in second place with 33% of the votes. The Lakers star’s pick, Future, was voted in third with 17%, and Nicki’s mentor, friend and collaborator Lil Wayne came in last with nine percent of the votes.

Nicki has long argued that she is not only one of the best female emcees, but one of the greatest rappers ever. During a 2019 episode of “The Joe Budden Podcast,” she said she is top 10 on her own list. “I definitely rate myself top 10,” she said. “Dead or alive, men and women.”

Minaj is behind the projects Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, The Pinkprint and Queen — which all were certified platinum and include singles that topped the Billboard charts. Even her 2009 Beam Me Up Scotty mixtape is receiving lots of love. After re-releasing the project on streaming services, she sold 80,000 copies in the first week. The EP also made history as the highest-charting re-released mixtape from a rapper and the highest-debuting female rap mixtape in Billboard 200 history.
