Kodak Black continues to reveal dope cuts for his fans. This time is a bit of a surprise — his latest single is “Rip Stick,” a collaboration with Syko Bob and Pooh Shiesty, the last of whom recently had words for the Floridian star on social media. As such, the collaborators waste little time with delving into street-oriented subject matter:

“Kutthroat business, lil’ dog, get your throat slit, my nigga went flaw’, he don’t think that I know yet, I’m lit like a pool, I see water, my Rolex, I pity the fool for nothin’, if I send bitch and forget, bruh, you gettin’ hit stick, yeah, SG slidin’ and glidin’, you know that I rip stick, you know that I rip stick…/”

Back in March, Kodak and Pooh Shiesty seemed to be at odds with each other over the now-popular “money spread” pose — a move that Kodak claims as its creator. Following a couple of back-and-forth responses, things seems to cool down between the two and all parties agreed to disagree. Fast-forward to this past weekend, and Kodak and his Memphis cohort were spotted hanging together and taking pictures, confirming that the conflict has apparently been squashed.

Since being released from prison, Kodak has been busy feeding his fans with singles like “Last Day In,” “Every Balmain,” “Easter In Miami,” and “Righteous Reapers.” His last full-length album was 2020’s Bill Israel, which was released during his incarceration and saw assists from Tory Lanez, Jackboy, Gucci Mane, CBE, and Lil Yachty over 11 tracks.

In regards to his legal issues, it looks like Kodak may finally be in the clear. Late last month, he plead guilty to assault in South Carolina, taking an 18-month probation sentence — he was originally facing as much as 30 years for the associated charges. That follows the pardon he received from outgoing president Donald Trump at the top of the year.
