Last year, Busta Rhymes released his tenth studio album Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God, a tour de force that saw 22 tracks with additional appearances from Rakim, M.O.P., Bell Biv DeVoe, Rick Ross, Q-Tip, Anderson .Paak, Vybz Kartel, Rapsody, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and more. This week, he drops off a new visual from that project for the Navi Beats and Rick Rock-produced “Where I Belong,” which features Mariah Carey and sees the two playing off a mutual love theme:

“Don’t keep me waitin’ for too long, girl, come through, take it off, let’s get it on, girl, too long I’ve been messin’ with the wrong girl, should’ve known that you was right where I belong, girl…/”

Continuing a plot rehashed in Trippie Redd’s “I Got You,” for accompanying clip for “Where I Belong” takes place 18 years from his and Mariah’s “I Know What You Want” video, which ended with Busta being ambushed following a near-encounter with his friend’s girl, played by Michael Jai White and La’Shontae “Tae” Heckard, respectively. All parties return to the fold, as Busta and White eventually find Tae, fighting through literal samurai’s to reach her. Given how it all ends, fans can be sure that another chapter is soon to follow.

In related news, this month will also see Busta celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Coming with a SUPER DELUXE EDITION, which will contain previously unreleased instrumentals for the original tracklist, along with 12” remixes that will be making digital appearances for the first time — including “Woo Hah!! Got You All In Check (World Wide Remix)” with Ol’ Dirty Bastard, “Abandon Ship (DJ Scratch Remix),” and “It’s A Party (The Ummah Remix)” with SWV.
