Earlier this month, Top Dawg Entertainment artist REASON delivered his official debut LP New Beginnings, which boasts 14 tracks and features from Rapsody, Mereba, ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Vince Staples, Alemeda, Isaiah Rashad, and J.I.D. This week, he drops off a new video for “Favorite N***a,” which is produced by Mario Luciano and Kal Banx. The track sees the California emcee rapping about his haters, getting money, and more:

“Slide home safe, drive through laced, ride no bass, couple chains on, no, I’m not too safe, same n***as with me, no, it’s not gon’ change, make a b***h stand like change, ooh, n***a been tight like waves, ooh/

Money cleaned up like maids, ooh, no handout, catch fades, ooh, no handout, catch fades, yeah, my b***h got it made, yeah, n***as ain’t want me to win, no, kick doors in like raids, yeah, kick doors in then flood, woah…/”

The video comes courtesy of TDE Films and shows REASON taking a ride through the streets. After seeing certain late night evils throughout his journey, it’s revealed that REASON was headed to a location perfect for creating a makeshift grave, a la Eminem during his Slim Shady years. The clip ended with him taking a shot the morning after and walking away, presumably to continue his murderous affairs.

New Beginnings follows REASON’s official TDE debut There You Have It, which was originally released in 2017 before Top Dawg’s machine re-released the project the following year. That mixtape-turned-official debut saw 12 cuts with assists from Xian Bell, D Beezey, and Space 600.
