If there’s anything that would closely resemble an upside to the Coronavirus pandemic, it’s seeing how the creatives of the world have responded to the crisis at hand. In terms of hip-hop, we’ve seen many of our favorite artists rap about the chaos going on in their music, while creating new forms of content to match. This week, Juicy J decided to release a new visual for his single “Gah Damn High,” which features assistance from Wiz Khalifa and speaks on the very pastime that’s helped a lot of us while being stuck at home:

“It’s a bird, it’s a plane, I’m so gah damn high, I got drugs on my brain, I’m so gah damn fried/

I want blood not that green, bring the right damn kind, n***a tried to sell me homegrown, I’m like, “n***a, nice try”/”

The visual comes courtesy of Joe Well and plays out like a reality show, with viewers getting a look into how Juicy J has been doing since the world stopped. The Memphis legend can be seen in his lavish residence cleaning around the house and pool, painting masterpieces, playing with toy trains, receiving delivery orders in full hazmat gear, and more. When it gets to Wiz Khalifa’s part of the track, the cameras are forced to film his performance from outside due to apparent safety concerns. There’s a few notable cameos, as well — Adam “Adam22” Grandmaison and Gary Vaynerchuk make social distancing-friendly appearances.

“Gah Damn High” will appear on Juicy J’s forthcoming album The Hustle Continues, an album that fans have been waiting for for much of last decade. As revealed on social media, the official follow-up to 2017’s Rubba Band Business will see additional appearances from Lil Baby, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Logic, Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, and more.

Press play on “Gah Damn High” below. The Hustle Continues is said to make landfall this October.
