After The LOX and Dipset went head-to-head in front of fans watching virtually and in person at the Madison Square Garden, clips of the monumental Verzuz made its way to the internet and instantly went viral. One of those videos captured Jim Jones as he appeared to tumble off the stage.

In one video, Capo looks like he’s reaching over to get something when he falls off the stage and lands among the audience. In another clip, a different angle appears to show Jones walking down the steps before he ends up in the crowd. So, what really happened?

According to the Harlem emcee, he did not fall off the stage despite several claims that he did.

“For the record, I did not fall off the stage,” Jones said. “My ring flew off my hand, and I dove off that mothafucker head first like I was going swimming. I dove, I didn’t fall,” he added before bursting into laughter. “I dove.”

Jones was heavily involved in the friendly yet aggressive banter ahead of and during the Verzuz, but after the battle came to an end, one thing he didn’t deny was Jadakiss’ undeniable talent.

“I tip my hat to u love it for free see you on tour. I had a...blast,” Capo commented under Kiss’ celebratory post. “Great night… NYC 4 The Win,” added Juelz Santana. “But U Deff got that MVP my boy …Love u bro.”

Jones and Juelz are only two of many people who praised Jadakiss’ lyricism and stage presence in the wake of the battle. When poking fun at Cam’ron, 50 Cent shared a photo of Jada’s face photoshopped onto the picture of Cam in his signature pink mink. “@jadakiss The LOX smoked @mr_camron DIPSET last night,” he wrote. “LOL took his pink shit!”

LeBron James even chimed in and called Jadakiss “the most UNDERRATED hip-hop artist of ALL TIME!!”
